About Dr. Laura Colgin. Dr. Coglin is a professor of Neuroscience at UT Austin, and the Director of the Center for Learning & Memory. She earned her PhD from the University of California Irvine and did her postdoctoral fellowship with laboratory of Nobel laureates Edvard and May-Britt Moser at the Norwegian Institute of Science and Technology. Laura’s research aims to understand how the brain forms and changes memories through learning. Her lab studies how groups of neurons coordinate to represent memories and how disruptions in this coordination may lead to learning disabilities and memory disorders in rodent models. Laura’s main pastime outside of work is dancing.
