Musical Memories: Marc Zwingelberg

Marc Zwingelberg is principal trumpet of the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock and a sought-after guest principal with many of Europe’s leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Frankfurt Radio Symphony, and Bamberg Symphony. An award-winning performer, he has earned prizes at international competitions in Latvia and Germany, including recognition for his piccolo trumpet performance. In addition to his orchestral career, Marc is an active educator, regularly presenting masterclasses and residencies at universities and professional institutions across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the United States. He holds degrees from the Hochschulen für Musik in Detmold and Lübeck and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at The University of Texas at Austin, where he studies with Caleb Hudson.
