Description

Beauties and the Beat, founded in 2013, is the premier treble a cappella group at the University of Texas at Austin. The group is proud to perform across the Austin area and the US in prestigious competitions such as ICCA, Sing!, SXSW, and VoiceJam. Members arrange much of their repertoire, and Beauties prides itself on self-choreographed competition sets featuring contemporary pop music. As students first, Beauties and the Beat builds its musical cohesiveness through a tight-knit group dynamic that values mental health and self-care. The group sees its music as a powerful form of expression and creativity, cherishing the emotional connection a cappella fosters between performers and audiences.
