Dr. Goldschen-Ohm received a UT CNS Catalyst 2.0 Grant for a collaborative project along with with Co-PI Dr. Andres Jara-Oseguera in Molecular Biosciences. The CNS Catalyst 2.0 Grant Program is an internal seed funding mechanism intended to catalyze new scholarly activity and remove barriers to research success.

The project’s goal is to lay the foundation for screening every possible single residue variant in a synapatic GABAA receptor with a high throughput unbiased approach involving fluorescence detection of channel activity and next generation sequencing.
