Ellen Zippi
, an undergraduate researcher in the Preston lab graduated with Dean's Honored Graduate recognition. Dean’s Honored Graduate is the highest honor awarded to graduating seniors in the College of Natural Sciences. It is restricted to fewer than one percent of the graduating class of the college during an academic year.
Ellen also received a Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation that will support her forthcoming graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based masters and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.
