The Department of Neuroscience is currently accepting applications for faculty positions at the level of Assistant and Full Professor.

Fields of interest include mechanistic studies of ion channels, synaptic structure and/or function, membrane transporters or receptors using biophysical techniques, and/or structural biological approaches relevant to neuroscience.  The positions carry competitive salary and start-up funds to attract successful candidates to an already exciting and vibrant academic environment.  We are interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research and service.  

The University of Texas at Austin has strong and interactive research programs in Neuroscience, Physics, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Computer and Computational Science, Statistics, Mathematics and Engineering with a culture of cross disciplinary collaboration.  Successful candidates will have their laboratories in the new Norman Hackerman Building located within the heart of campus.
